This jointer is quieter than my old straight blade jointer. The long tables make for easy work flattening boards. Only needed minor adjustment on outfeed table and it works flawlessly.

From the equipment listing: “Engage the foot pedal caster to move your machine around. Lock the machine down when you are ready to work.” None of this is true! There is no foot pedal operation and there are no casters. It rolls only in a straight line and you have to get down on the ground and tighten two knobs to lock it in place. Seriously disappointing! I would have just bought a different machine and added a mobile base if it weren’t for this bad information! My shop space requires me to be able to move it in more than a straight line and I really don’t like the idea of getting on my hands and knees to lock and unlock it!

It's going to be a couple months before I can actually use this machine as I'm moving into a new shop but I wanted to at least comment on the shipping because I had read reviewers expressing concerns about that. The jointer came in a wood crate that was completely unharmed. It seemed to be teetering around inside the crate, and in fact it was only fastened to the crate by gravity, but there were styrofoam inserts to keep it from tipping all the way. It worked. The freight driver used a pallet jack to roll it into my garage so it wasn't just left outside at the curb for me to deal with. Results may vary with other freight handlers, but my experience was perfect. I can't wait to get it set up. Once I do, if I remember and if I'm allowed, I'll do a follow up on my impressions but so far it appears to be very well made.

I got this to my shop 2 weeks ago and is all I want it to be. I am going to be saving so much time. The stock comes out so clean with out any chips, straight . I Love it
