JUNK!!! DO NOT PURCHASE!!! WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY

Mine was junk. The door would not open and shut correctly and the electronic lock quit working within a month. Winchester sent a repairman to fix it but he came without knowing the combination to the new electronic lock and just left without it working! I had to call Winchester myself and get the combination but when I entered it the electronic lock still would not work. The technician Precision Lock and Safe would not come back and fix his mistakes and Winchester safes would not send anyone else? Be advised if you purchase this you really have no warranty!

Electronic Lock Design is Defective & Frustrating!

In general this is a nice little safe. The mechanical aspects are fine. The partitions can be easily reconfigured. To suggest it is suitable for 20 long guns is a stretch so we can chalk that up to marketing. But in general it is solid and has a nice feel to it. Regrettably the electronic lock design is bluntly defective. The electronics discharge a typical 9V alkaline battery in just about 3-6 weeks. So...when you install a new battery and then try to open it a couple months later, the keypad is dead. Check the voltage on the battery and it will be one 1 or 2 volts - not enough to actuate the lock. So...you must remove the lock and install another battery. My fix is to simply run the battery connector outside the lock and remove and reinstall the battery each time I get ready to open the safe. This is a pain but is the only way to make it work. Too bad. I would not recommend this safe because of this defect - there are better options available.

The electronic lock went completely dead within a month, no response at all even with new batteries. Of course this happens on a long weekend beyond having to deal with warranties being a massive waste of my time.
