Rated 1 out of 5 by from compressor are good but motor are junk Compressor seem to be ok. Motors are junk 1st one ran for 6 months 2nd ran 13 months. Store will not help. We did buy + 1 year protection plan we will see what they do. THIS COMPRESSOR RUNS ABOUT 20 HOURS A WEEK

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too small motor Have had for 4 years light duty and motor burnt up. Was told by repair facility it was under powered for unit. Should have at least a 7 hp motor. I even bought the extended warranty that ran out last year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good with one exception. So far so good. I've only had it for about a month. Air compressor doesn't come with power cord so make sure that you go to your local electrical supply warehouse to get the 8 gauge wire that's recommended in the manual. I talked to the person about it and they say that's kind of overkill, but I'm sure as heck going to do it to spec so that my motor is in warranty. The compressor puts out plenty of air. I'm going to see if I can max it out sometime. The only drawback I see is the bushing is threaded with a 3/4 inch outlet and then they put a half inch ball valve inside of that. I'm not exactly sure why they did that, maybe they don't want you doing more than 50 CFM in any single shot. Overall the machine is quite a bit quieter than a non lubricated type, which I would expect. It's certainly not quiet. Also as a review of TSC more than anything else, the amount of half inch accessories for this machine are pretty sparse. Plan on going to the internet to get most of your supplies if you plan on running half inch tubing for this. If you want true high CFM, stay away from the quarter inch accessories. I'm going to set a reminder on my phone to revisit this review in the future perhaps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast fill I was looking for a compressor that would fill up fast and maintain. This is it. It is also not as noisy as i thought it would be for the size.

What are the starting amps and the running amps

Asked by: David n
The running amp is 22.5. The starting amp is 6 or 7 times the running amp for a second. Ingersoll Rand recommends a minimum 40 amp dual pull breaker and an 8 gauge wire if its less than 50 ft.
