I bought this heater and the filter and hose and we love it and the box says it's indoor safe it's perfect I just hope it's actually indoor safe as I have a one year old and like as far as it not letting harmful fumes into our home it is safe right.?

Asked by: Code
Thank you for your inquiry. This heater is certified for indoor use. There is an oxygen depletion system that is installed on the unit that shuts the heater off if the oxygen drops below 18%.

I have a smaller version of this heater I use in my hunting blind. it keeps me warm but on colder days I can get cold on the opposite side of the heater. Would this heater be too big to use in a hunting blind? My blind is 4' by 4' / 6' height.

Asked by: DanR65
I wouldn't recommend it ... you are something smaller than a closet.... the mh12 hunting buddy puts out more heat than the mh9 and is only a little bigger. Rich Mr Heater

We have a smaller version of this heater and even in an open area it shuts off every few minutes. Why does it do that and does the the big buddy heater do the same Thing?

Asked by: Bryan Sweet
It may be the pilot light is not heating up the thermocouple enough. Try shielding the heater from the wind and see if you can check the pilot flame for movement. Rich Mr Heater

Running the unit on high and using a 30lb tank, what is the expected run time of this heater?

Asked by: L2629s
the tank will empty rapidly within 4 to 5 days depending on use during the day. Use the first tank and record start time until it goes empty. Doing this homework will prepare you better. I always recommend a stand by second tank. Rich Mr Heater
