Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trash pump I bought it to pump out my inground pool in the spring, it sucked water and all the leaves as it emptied it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice straight forward pump We bought 4 of these pumps about a month ago. Two have been running 5 days a week to provide water for two drilling rigs. They start right up every morning and are an excellent value.

What is the maximum vertical height this pump can move water. Not the height from the water level to the pump, the height from the pump up an incline to, say, a tank?

Asked by: Good2go
The maximum suction head is 26ft. This pump has a total head of 85ft. The total head is a combination of the 'suction' and 'discharge' heads. For example, this means if you have a suction head of 20 feet, than you have the capacity for pumping water vertically another 65 feet. Please keep in mind that the pump performance decreases as the total head increases.

The suction head is the distance between the water level and the top of the pump. On this machine, the suction head is 26ft.

Will the pump handle small rocks, mud and debris from stream pools? I realize the maximum solid waste size is 3/4".

Asked by: pmchale
This is a semi-trash pump that is rated for the maximum solid waste size of 3/4" as you mention. In our manual we state the pump should not be used for salt, sludge, sewer, sea, or any other type of water containing solid material. Maybe, put a filter basket on your suction hose to help protect the pump.

I have a 18' verticle drop to water source , If I run 100' out to sprinkler head will I create a min of 45psi required for that sprinkler (what diameter would it need to be if its possible)

Asked by: six pines
Sorry, we do not measure the output in PSI as the intended purpose of this machine is to move standing water from one location to another. This pump has a suction head of 26 ft. so your vertical lift is no issue. The total head is 85 feet. So if you have 18 feet of suction head, you have 67 feet of vertical discharge head available. Lateral distance should not affect this.
