US Stove Pedestal Wood Stove with Blower, 2,000 sq. ft., 2000 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 188.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of heat! Easy to use I'm updating a review I wrote about 6 months ago on this stove. It still works fabulous and puts out enough heat to blow us out of the room we have it in (16x20, with this stove being the ONLY source of heat in this room). I'm sure with the stove positioned right in an open floor plan, it would keep 2000 sq. ft. cozy enough. I had mentioned about hot coals only being 4 hours, this was due to the wood I was using (plus I had figured out how to use the damper to my advantage). The cleanout at the bottom is good for when I'm lazy and don't want to shovel out the ashes ;). Only one drawback: You can use 20" logs across the unit left-to-right, but front-to-back they need to be 12".(I just cut my wood accordingly). If you're looking for a deeper firebox, go with the next size up. That being said, overall, you cannot go wrong with this product! It's a well made stove and works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stove for small cottage We bought this for our cottage in northern Michigan with the expectation to use during the winter and cut down on propane use while we are there. So far I've found this to be a very good wood burning stove and do not have any complaints. Cottage is ~1,200 sqft and it keeps the entire space warm-hot. There is a back bathroom/closet that stays cooler so I do need to figure a way to get the heat over there but otherwise no complaints. To ensure proper room temps and to ensure that wood doesn't burn too quickly, the flue venting and log thickness takes some experimenting and getting used to. But after one season I would say I've got it figured out. Very pleased with this purchase, especially at this price point.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so hot Factory claims are not what you get. Have to use extra dry wood. Have to use wood shorter then it says(21") can only put a couple pieces in at a time. Not sure if it is airflow design flaw or fact model we got was made in China???. So much for USStove.

I have a flue opening that goes into a masonery chimney. the chimney runs outside my home from my basement up past the top of the second floor of the house. Is this all I need for proper installation?

Asked by: Fred W
We recommend having the chimney lined with class A stove pipe if you are using an existing chimney. If it is lined with clay liner or is bigger than 6 inches you will have drafting issues.

Can this unit unint be install in the basement, and run ductwork to 6 rooms? Taken great advantage of the blower? My home doesn’t have duct work and the basement has a way to vent the stove

Asked by: Matador1979
This unit cannot be used with duct work. The blower is not powerful enough to pressurize duct work to heat a home.

what are the manufacturing requirement for distance away from the walls on all sides when you have a non combustible material on the walls or surrounding of the wood stove. In the manual it has all the measurements for when it is a combustible material.

Asked by: lkober1983
We suggest contacting someone in your area that deals will local codes. We don't supply that information because it all depends on which part of the country you live in.

Do you need to burn off the stove prior to bringing into your house

Asked by: Bill 1014
We recommend that you do an initial burn outside your home so that you can remove all of the manufacturing oils and help the paint cure before you bring it inside. There will be an odor.
