good tank at a fair price

A 20lb propane tank at a fair price. No leaks, the tank seems solid. Not much else to say. It was the cheapest I could find, and the store fills tanks with propane for a fair price. Buying a new tank and filling it saves money over those ripoff blue rhinos that only fill the tank 3/4 full and charge you full price.

Not made in the US, quality problems

Had 2 delivered - 1 was damaged on the bottom and had a broken weld. Drove up to the store to replace the bad unit and the next one was damaged on the top with a broken weld. The 3rd one finally looked OK. All 4 are stamped Made in Thailand even though the website says Made in America. Paid a premium for them and they turned out to be worse quality than what's at big box retailers.

EMPTY TANK NOT A GOOD DEAL

Read the full description and other reviews. This is not a good deal. Price is for EMPTY tank so you're looking at $70+. And that's a sale price. There are cheaper options elsewhere.

Fantastic Deal on a Brand New 20 lb Propane Tank

Picked up this 20 lb propane tank on sale at Tractor Supply in Fulton for just $47.99. Solid build, no issues at all. Took it right over to E&V Energy in Fulton and got it filled for only $10. The tank works perfectly on my Blackstone Griddle, strong, consistent flame, no leaks, and the OPD valve does its job safely. Now, a friendly public service announcement to all the folks leaving 1-star reviews because “it came empty” or “there’s no propane in it”... Come on, folks When you buy a new propane tank, it is always shipped and sold empty. That's not a defect — that's how propane tanks work for safety and legal reasons. You have to take it to a certified place to get it filled. Bless the people giving it one star because they didn't realize they needed to pay to fill it.
