Q: Will the 2500 sq ft pellet stove heat the basement (where our old wood burner used to be) and the main floor of our home? We do have an open vent from that room to the main floor and another above the door to the unfinished side of the basement.

- A: All PelPro stoves need to be vented outside of the home using type 'L' or 'PL' pellet pipe. For maintenance, we suggest vacuuming out the firebox at least every other day, scraping the burnpot weekly, cleaning behind the baffles and inside the fans yearly or more if needed, and sweeping the venting before and after each heating season.4 months agoHelpful?

Q: stove smokes from the air intake what causes this

- A: Hello Bill, It could be that you need more venting on your exhaust to create a good draft for the smoke to exit there. There could be a leak in your exhaust and it is choosing the outside air as the path of least resistance. Or, your house has some strong negative air pressure that is pulling the smoke back into the house. Check the chart on page 12 of your manual to make sure that the venting is set up correctly. Heading Into Heating Season #4

The PelPro PP130 was my first and only pellet stove purchase. As a long time wood burner I was extremely skeptical that a pellet stove would be cost effective and reliable. After a great deal of research I decided on the PelPro PP130. I had looked at the high end stoves and just couldn't justify big dollars for an experiment. I made a very wise choice. This stove has performed almost flawlessly throughout the past 3 North Central PA winters. I am heating 1400 sq. ft. of space half of which is vaulted ceiling. We keep the temperature at around 78 degrees, even in single degree outside temperatures, on setting 4 and average consumption is 130 bags a year. This is our sole source of heat. Initially, we had an issue with the rotary dial which PelPro immediately replaced and I replaced the igniter last season (typical wear item). Beyond that we have had zero issues. I shut down the stove each day for approximately 10 minutes, empty the pot, vacuum the ash, and wipe the glass. After every 50-60 bags I do a 1 hour tear down (very easily accomplished) and give the stove a deep cleaning. I fully expect that in this the 4th year I may be replacing a part, but again maybe not. Are there better looking stoves on the market? Absolutely. Are there other stoves that are as reliable, cost effective, easy to maintain, AND allow you, due to the 130lb capacity hopper, to go away for 3 days and not worry about running out of fuel? Probably not. This is a great stove and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Got this stove 1 week ago. Set it up and attempted to run it for the first time on Saturday 11/20/21. I attempted 2x and the received the code for "miss Ignition" check everything they told me to check on the PelPro website and noticed that the latch on the door wasn't latched. I attempted to close the door and the part of the handle on the inside snapped right off. I attempted to go to TSC and they told me they couldn't do anything so this morning I called PelPro and they were not accommodating at all and told me it could be up to 2 weeks before I got the part. I purchased this stove to heat half of my house so I could host thanksgiving and now I cant do that. I will be trying everything in my power to return this stove because it has yet to be run and I don't appreciate the PelPro customer service.

DANGEROUS SCAM

DO NOT BUY IS A SCAM YOU WILL SPEND MORE ON 5 MONTHS ON REPAIRS THEN YPU DID ON THE MACHINE ITS SELF. WARNING: COMPANY DOES NOT HONOR WARRENTY AND THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT WILL TELL YPU UNHELPFUL AND UNSAFE WAYS TO REPAIR LIKE REWIRING SACETY SYSTEMS SO EXAHUST FUMES ARE NOT DECTED. This is my secn review I have now spent more then $2000 in repairs not including the price of the stove. Customer supotwll sit there and ask stupid questions and tell ypu to buy more but the company has no accountability towards bad product and dont care for your safety AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST THEY ARE UNSAFE AND CALL THEMSELVES DIY. I had to leave a review under a seperate email because they won't even let you edit previous ones or make a second comment incase things are better or worse. Look for a stove thats safe that isnt gonna smoke you out.

I'm not sure who you spoke with but the exhaust probe (which senses the exhaust temperature to establish proof of fire) cannot be bypassed or rewired, nor have we at PelPro ever suggested for anyone to attempt it. This is designed to be a DIY version of our dealer-based products so that homeowners can have the same comfort at a lower price point. I apologize if this was not disclosed to you upon purchase. We would be happy to assist with troubleshooting, but we would need the homeowner to perform any needed testing and give us accurate results so that we have the best information to help you. If the stove is smoking, it is likely a leak in the exhaust venting or a deteriorated gasket. Love my pellet stove!

Had a little hiccup with the augre the first couple bags, but it could have just been the pellets that I was using. I was trying different kinds, since then it's been running great, no problems. Keeps my shop at a bomie 60 to 65°, perfect. Not too hot, pretty efficient about a bag a day. And it's working 20-4-7. 40×40 with 16' ceiling buy a good industrial fan to keep that air moving. JD
