Standlee Premium Western Forage Certified Alfalfa Cube Horse Feed, 40 lb.

I have been feeding cubes for years and some of my horses must have it to maintain their weight. Upset though they switching from Standlee to Dumor which means 50lbs now down to 40lbs at same price though. I don't mind the brand switch as much as the weight drop with no drop in cost, and Dumor is supposed to be the TSC brand and cheaper. Insteads it now costs me more money.

I started feeding 1-2 lbs of soaked pellet to my senior dairy cow 3 months ago and it has done wonders to put some weight and body condition on her. And, bonus, she loves the stuff. These beet pulp pellets are far better quality that those I've bought from other feed stores in the past.

I just love this product. I use the the Alfalfa/Timothy cubes too. It's great for any horse.pony at any age, but with an older horse (28) who is having trouble chewing the tougher first cutting hays, or has trouble keeping weight on when the grass dies back in winter, this is the perfect solution. I soak a half bucket of these cubes in warm water and within 30 minutes he's got a full bucket (they expand) of yummy, low sugar alfalfa that satisfies his nutritional needs and his need to chew. It looks like spinach and he LOVES the taste, I mean he shoves me around to get to it! You can hide meds such as pergolide and bute and they just soak it up. No more wasted supplements. This method also gets the fluids in and I believe this helps to avoid impaction especially in hot or very cold weather. Great product. and according to Standlee, Standlee Hay Company currently does not have any GMO alfalfa in our products. hurray!!

I have a 32 year old TB that needed a little help with forage consumption. He does have teeth but the long stem hay was too difficult to chew. I feed him a bucket full of cubes soaked for about 20 minutes, break them up for him and he eats the full bucket. He also gets a scoop of PP Haystretcher when he comes in from TO. And hay chaff to boot. He is nice and round. Has a nice coat and he is a happy guy. Nice clean product; very reliable quality.
