I feed my horse this daily. He gets a bale of hay a day and has pasture, but not much pasture. His grass is usually gone by mid-summer. So, we give this year round to substitute the lack of pasture. He loves it and it keeps his weight on. It also helps us stretch the feed.

hay pellets are small

I bought for my elderly horse due to weight issues. The pellets were very small which made it easier for him to chew but I seemed to go through it faster.
