Standlee Teff Pellets

I really like the teff pellets for my easy keeper ponies. They really like them which makes them easy to feed. Just wish they were available at my local TSC store. I have to order online and have them shipped to me so with shipping I'm paying double the price. I looked at TSC stores in my surrounding counties and no one has them and they claim they cant order them for me. Why can I order them but they can't? Not good customer service.

Wanted to ship feed to store. Store does not stock it. Web site either did not allow shipping to the store or was not clear one could ship to the store. So ended up paying double the cost. The shipping was about equal to the cost.

Best option for senior easy keeper minis

My 25 yr. old mini donkey has unusual dentition that contribute to choke, and my 28 yr. old mini horse colics so easily on anything dry. So hay is not an option anymore. Well soaked grass hay pellets work well for both of them. Of course timothy and orchard grass pellets work fine soaked too, but since the donkey gets fat so easily I use the lower carb teff. If the mini horse needs more I can supplement him with soaked senior pellets. (Recently I thought they might need more roughage and tried a little soaked chopped hay mixed in. This resulted in an $800+ emergency vet bill for a choking donkey. Lesson learned.) I have been very happy with the soaked teff for several years now. Even when they start losing teeth it will still be easy for them to eat . Also, when the mini horse last colicked I gave him a little teff soaked in a bunch of water to tempt him to drink. He is such a foodie that it worked great and cleared the blockage. (Not vet advice, just my experience.)
