The Standlee Premium Western Forage Premium Alfalfa Grab and Go Compressed Hay Bale is made from high quality sun-cured forage that has been double compressed compared to traditional string bales, saving storage space, and shrink-wrapped, to limit mess. Standlee Premium Western Forage alfalfa hay is moderately high in protein, high in calories, and digestible fiber, giving your horse the energy it needs to perform. Available in approximately 50 lb. bales. The hay contains 16% protein content. It's also stomach friendly with calcium levels that can reduce the risk of stomach ulcers.

  • 16% Protein - high protein level ideal choice for performance horses
  • Low in carbohydrates - great option for insulin-resistant or carb sensitive animals
  • Natural forage length - mimics grazing, slows intake, stimulates chewing and minimizes digestive upset, may help eliminate boredom and prevent stall vices
  • Stomach Friendly - calcium levels can reduce the risk of stomach ulcers
  • Sun-cured -retains maximum nutritional value and freshness, ensuring optimal health benefits for your horse
  • Made in USA - made in Idaho with care with the highest-quality forage in the USA
  • 30-day guarantee
  • 50 lb. bale size
  • Suitable for all life stages

Love this hay !

My foxhunters had a cold busy winter. Thanks to the compressed alfalfa bales they always had quality hay. Easy and neat to transport too. I recommend soaking the flakes you are preparing to feed in a clean muck tub with plenty of water to cover hay for 10mins to an hour. The flakes plump up and the horses clean up every last bit of hay. Plus the extra water in their intestines is good.

Wet, moldy hay

Hay is wet and molded on 1/4 of the bale. This has happened the last 5 times I got this hay. I have a horse that can only eat alfalfa so I’ve had to continue to buy it and throw part of each bale away. TSC can do better than this.

Greatly disappointed and disgusted!!!

I am very disappointed with the last “bale” I purchased from Paris, KY Tractor Supply. It was filled with dirt and dust and didn’t flake at all, just crumbled away. Worst part was the dead bird that was smashed into what would have been the last flakes. This hay looked like it had been swept off the warehouse floor and shaped into a compressed bale…never expected that from a standlee product!!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Horses would not eat it

Horses refused to eat it, bale was dusty leaves and stems, not moldy but "dirt", flakes difficult to break apart, appears dyed green, smelled safe but not appetizing.

No, I do not recommend this product.
