What I can tell you is that NSC is a combination of WSC (Water Soluble Carbohydrates) and Starch So from our test: WSC equals 28.2 g/lb. + Starch which equals 17.7 g/lb. = 45.9 g/lb. (NSC) However, not all WSCs contribute to higher glucose levels because they are not entirely absorbed in the digestive tract. Q: I asked before should I weigh dry or wet. The answer was dry. That means I would be feeding a whole bag in 2 days as my horse cannot chew hay at all. Can I get a confirmation on this
a year ago- A: Dry Weight, Feed by Weight not Volume. 1%-2% of the horses body weight daily The recommendation is the pellets be soaked two parts water to one part pellet for at least 30 minutes. Cubes should be soaked for at least 45 minutes to an hour. It is important to feed pellets or cubes at ground level, allowing the horse to extend his neck in his natural grazing position.
