Should clamps be used on both sides or does it fit tight enough without clamps and not leak gas?

You should use clamps on the fuel line.

What direction do you install this?

Does the larger end face the fuel tank or the carburetor? I do not see a flow direction arrow on it.
Asked by: MotorrrMAD
This particular fuel filter can be installed either way. The fuel can flow through this filter in either direction.

I bought this OEM part locally. The Briggs packaging on the part states "Fits most engines without a fuel pump". Your website description states "Designed for use on engines with a fuel pump". Please clarify this apparent contradiction.

Asked by: J B H
Although the part is designed for use on engines with a fuel pump a fuel pump is not required to use this part.
