Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro Riding Mower LT 46

Picked this up this week after careful research. This is rated as one of the best for 2024 by several sites. First off, delivery was great! I had it the very next morning. It took a little getting used to after having a Craftsman Pro for nearly 8 years. It rides a bit rougher but it's bigger than my old mower. The 46" deck feels very sturdy. Although it isn't quite time for cutting grass, I did run it through my 1 acre just to get a feel for it. I can say the 22hp engine Kohler seems faster than my old mower, which was also a 22hp Kohler. It handled my hilly yard quite well. The seat feels more comfortable and it handles very well. The cutting deck rides smoothly along my yard. It takes about 2.5 gallons to fill it with gas. It's quieter than my old Craftsman. I usually spend around 2-3 hours cutting my yard, an hour or so at my other property and around 2 hours cutting the lake I live on. I may have to update this review as it gets warmer and grass starts to grow more. For now, I'm pleased with this purchase.

Mower failed but great customer support

Mower ran like there was water in the gas. I drained the tank and put in fresh gas with the same result. I called service line twice but after 30 min each time on hold - I dropped. BUT I called the store and they swapped the mower out for a new one that is running GREAT. Product quality issues happen but customer service is intentional.

Replaced 15 year old Cub Cadet LTX1046. This is a good machine. Downside is hood will not stay in raised position (prevents 5 star). Unit was offloaded at wrong store and delayed delivery 4 days.

Terrible Experience and terrible equipment

My XT1 LT46 arrived with rust on the front axle where the transport chains had been attached and scratches on the rear paint. The mower had been left outside. While the delivery driver was still there, I called the store to report the damage. I was told the manager would call me, but that call never came.
I also ran into problems getting the mower through a dealer and getting the correct bagger because of confusing part numbers. I contacted customer service multiple times, but no one took ownership or helped resolve the problems. The whole experience felt like being passed through corporate forms instead of speaking with someone who cared.
I’m disappointed with both Tractor Supply and Cub Cadet, and I won’t buy from either again.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I have owned 3 other brands of lawn tractors, so I thought I would try something different. I have only used it 1 time but it cuts well, not a gas hog and handles well. My only complaint is you have to assemble after you take the crate apart. If I knew that I would have bought it at the local TC store. ,
