Mower was great until the battery wouldnt charge

Unfortunately, I decided to purchase one of these Toro electric mowers that was supposed to be so great... so great that the battery would not take a charge after 2 months from purchasing and was told that I had to take the battery to an authorized toro dealer to test the battery....I left both the charger and battery for testing. Upon doing so they told me that the battery was bad and i never got my charger back either. And I was given a 6 ah battery instead of the one I got with my mower (8ah). Toro claims a 3 year warranty on batteries, which serial numbers can tell you when it was made, but they still did not want to replace my battery

plan to replace every 1 to 2 seasons

Poor longevity - was gifted a mower with a 6 and 7.5ah battery spring of 2024. Everything worked better than expected and I could mow my 1/4 acre lot on 2/3 charge of the 7.5ah battery. now, 1.5 seasons later it take both batteries on a full charge to barely finish the lawn (i mow every 4-5 days so only cutting less than 1"). batteries are kept/ charged inside when not in use. I plan on replacing the mower next season with a gas one because the batteries are way too expensive to be replacing every 2 years.

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your battery's runtime. Please note that battery performance can vary depending on usage conditions. Cutting long or damp grass tends to drain the battery more quickly than mowing short, dry grass. For optimal performance, we suggest checking the operator’s manual available at Toro.com/manuals for troubleshooting tips and maintenance guidance. Additionally, please note that your 60V battery comes with a Toro 3-year warranty, which provides protection against manufacturing defects upon inspection by an independent Authorized Service Dealer. Had the Toro mower with 6amp battery. Im in Florida so grass fast and thick. Good charge does the front yard which is wide. Started recently mot being able to finish the yard. Check warranty, I had this unit and battery for goi g on 4 years. Warranty is 3 years. Use it every week and it cuts 2-4 inches every week. Battery pricey but no gas purchase for almost 4 years. No motor repairs. I like it.
