Q: The battery that came with my push mower is a 40 volt - 2.5 Ah Lithium. I see the battery available for sale here is a 2Ah. What is the difference? Can I use a 2Ah battery?

- A: Hello chipster88 - Our batteries are interchangeable with tools that are of the same voltage platform only. The ampere-hour (Ah) rating, simply relates to the run time that the batteries can provide. The higher the Ah rating is, the more run time the battery has to offer.4 years agoHelpful?

Compatible with my 4 Greenworks devices

I purchased a 40V 2Ah lithium battery and a rapid charger. The rapid charger did its job charging my new battery quickly and my new battery is compatible with my Chainsaw, Edger, Blower and Hedge Trimmer.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Don’t get what you pay for

On one of the batteries the power checking button does no work. For an item that expensive a quality check should have been done.

Hello Mike. We are sorry to hear of this experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. When you remove the battery from the charger, press the battery capacity indicator (BCI) button located at the end of the battery. The lights will illuminate according to the battery capacity level. Please note this switch does require a firm direct push using the tip of your finger. If the button is not fully engaged, the lights will not activate. Please also be advised the lights only stay on for a few seconds and will automatically turn off. Another reason the lights will not power on is if the battery is completely depleted of power and needs to be charged. If the lights operate as normal from the charger, then the battery should not be experiencing any issues.
