Initial review after purchase

Picked up this heater yesterday after researching several from local big box and online stores. Here are my inputs so far: 1. Box was free of any damage from shipping and seemed solid and well made. 2. Once home I opened it up and everything was neat and orderly, no parts loose and the molded Styrofoam inserts held everything securely. Packaging was fantastic and everything was included with no missing parts. 3. The heater was basically assembled and the only thing that needed assembly were the handle, axle support extensions and front stand. That took about 5 minutes and only required two (2) 3/4" wrenches to tighten the acorn nuts that held the wheels on. 4. The wheels are heavy injection molded plastic with rubber tires which made for easy and quiet rolling across my shop concrete floor but would do equally well over gravel or outside terrain. There is also a drain port on the belly of the tank and a pressure gauge on the pump for monitoring air pressure. 5. I like the fact that this has an on-off rocker switch which my 30 year old Reddy Heater did not. (On that one, on/off was done by plugging and unplugging it). 5. I filled it 1/2 way with 5 gallons of fresh kerosene and it fired right up. The heater ran smoothly and motor noise was apparent but by no means loud. Standing about 10' away I kneeled down into the heat path and there was zero odor of kerosene (i.e. burning very efficiently). 6. Once my shop was 55°F I adjusted the thermostat to 57°F and shortly thereafter the heater shut off. I then adjusted it to 60°F and it turned back on and started heating again. 7. YES, there was some very light wispy smoke after the 1st 5 minutes of operation...and then again after the 2nd test run...but it did not smell like unburnt fuel. I suspect it was residual machining oils for the combustion chamber...which would not surprise me. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and the initial quality and craftsmanship of the heater. It is built ruggedly with quality in mind. With the onset of colder weather I will be using it frequently and will post an update in a month or so.

Poor quallity Heater

First off tractor supply is a great store, but the master heaters they sell are not.The first time going to use model MH-140T-KFA 140,000 BTU heater it wouldn't start, took cover off and it would start.Problem was the fan was hitting the cover(not happy).Called Master and they seem to know the problem, wrong fan but they are sending me a new one.Poor Quality and poor Quality Control now I have no heat until fan arrives and need to spend my time fixing.Don't recommend buying a master product

This is my 2nd Master heater. I have a 1700 block building that i work out of, making custom cabinets. This heats up my space well, and there is alot of dust and this heater stands up to the dust . I use off road diesel for my fule. Again i recommend this product

Works as it should

Just added fuel, plugged it in, and turned it on. It's loud (like all heaters of this design), but it does a great job.

Master heater 140,000 btu

Well your timing is perfect. As a brand new unit, out of the box, it runs for about 20 seconds and shuts off. Error code E1. Didn’t burn one tank of fuel yet.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good heater, but arrived damaged

Could not purchase in the store. The heater had taken a very hard drop and the fan was grinding on the housing. I found the fan motor mounting bracket badly bent. Remove and hammered back straight. Reinstalled and the heater is working very well. A good heater but is a bit on the noisy side. I would recomend to my friends. Diwn graded 2 stars for having to work on and repair a brand new product. It was very well packed, so that had to ve a very hard drop.
