It uses an internal fan that blows air over a heated ceramic element for powerful, immediate and consistent warmth. Cool-touch housing promotes safety, and the built-in carrying handle makes moving the heater simple. Don't waste $$ on this heater!

There's an issue with the switch making a positive electrical connection. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I returned the first one and the second one has the same problem. It's unreliable.

this heater is perfect for heating my bedroom, it takes the edge off fast and actually heats the whole room. I love that it has auto shut off and will turn off if it falls over. I would buy another one in a second. another thing I love is how quiet it is.
