Q: what is the top temperature, it reaches? ex. 100 degrees, 140 degrees?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Mikey, The outlet/discharge air temperature is usually around 176F (80C). It really depends on a number of factors, such as ambient temperature, which may cause the outlet temperature to be lower. How that heats up your space will depend on the size of your space (FT3), the insulating factor, the number of windows and doors, the ambient temperature and the external temperature. Stay Warm!

Q: Can I plug up using heavy duty extension cord pluged into normal electrical outlet at my house

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, Thank you for your question. The user manual states, "This heater is for use on 240 (or 208) volts. The type outlet is a 240 (or 208) volt grounding outlet. When properly installed, it provides a ground connection through the cord to the heater to protect the operator from electric shock." A link to the user manual is included below. A diagram showing the plug is included with these instructions on page 8. The manufacturer DOES NOT recommend using extension cords with this heater. https://media.tractorsupply.com/is/content/TractorSupplyCompany/tsc/product/1/61/38/73/1613873_Man1.pdf?

Powerful heater in a compact package

This very compact heater outperforms much more expensive units in keeping my greenhouse above freezing even when temps outside dip below zero. It does make noise, as pointed out by some of the less positive reviews, but in my space this is not an issue, being able to heat is what I need from this heater and it delivers!
