Q&As

1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Q: How much ventilation is needed if used in shop. And what decibels does it run for

1 Answer
  • A: 1. Ventilation (Airflow) Because this heater "breathes" the air in the room, it must have fresh air coming in to prevent dangerous fumes from building up. The Rule: You need 2.4 square feet of open fresh air space. Simple Examples: Garage Door: Crack it open about 7–8 inches. Windows: Open two standard windows at least 6 inches each. 2. Noise (Decibels) Sound Level: It runs at 80 decibels (dB). Simple Comparison: It sounds like a loud vacuum cleaner or a jet engine at close range. You can talk over it, but you will likely have to raise your voice significantly.

Good Heater for Farm Diesel

I got this heater to supplement some propane radiant heaters that we use in the tire shop that cannot be closed up during business hours. It actually works pretty well at keeping a section in the back of the shop from being freezing cold. Here's the good: The heater puts out a decent amount of warm air, and is reasonably efficient especially compared to propane heaters. The not so good: The stated tank capacity was 5 gallons - you would be lucky to get 4 gallons into it. That leads to a shorter run time than I would prefer. Bottom line: I am happy with my purchase, and would buy it again - but I would look for one with more fuel capacity if possible.

Bought heater filled up with fuel fuel gauge still on full and it wont work worked for maybe 15 cycles called help desk they want me to adjust rotors on motor is it normal to have to work on new stuff you have just bought instructions say not to take back to dealer this one is headed back to TSC. Tractor supply has said they would replace the heater that's why I buy my stuff there it's hard to find a place that stands behind what they sell anymore.

    Bad fuel cap design

Works good but the fuel cap is horrible. If you don't mind having to use a screwdriver to pry off the fuel cap every time you add kerosene it's good.

No, I do not recommend this product.
