Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet top down heating I purchased this a month ago and have used it three times in my garage that is approximately 24 feet by 30 feet. I’m using a standard 20 lb propane tank to feed it. There is no blower on this heater so it is nice and quiet, however, You cannot focus the heat. The heat rises to the ceiling and then slowly pushes the cold air down and out. This works good if your building has a lower ceiling and best if it is insulated but that’s not required. The second time I used it I was working under a car and it was still fairly cold under the cold soaked car, but when I stood up it was much warmer. I should have given it more time to distribute the heat. I’ll use a box fan next time to help circulate the heat. The only negative is that as my garage heated up a layer of moisture covered everything. If you don’t keep it warm enough for long enough then it will re-freeze, but this is probably the same for all heaters like this. Also, the first time I used it there was a pretty bad smell that went away during subsequent uses. I’m pretty sure it was just burning off the manufacturing oils. Overall a great product for its intended use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing will throw some heat. I bought the mid size heater but I probably would have been fine with smaller unit. I used it in a single wide I’m working on. It was 29 degrees inside and I had to shut it off after an hour because it got too hot inside.

What style of valve does the hose attach to? I will need to purchase a tank but do not know whether to get a 40# or 100# tank and if I get the 100# tank, which valve should get.

Asked by: topperx4
Hello Topperx4, this heater requires a POL fitting (counter clockwise attachment to propane tank) and we recommend a 100 lb. tank for optimal performance. -GHP Group Customer Support
