Seem to be good

Granted I just got this heater for Christmas but have used it a few nights already working in my shop and it seems to really work good. It is much quieter than a conventional kerosene heater so if that's an issue for u than this is the right heater. Wish it was alittle cheaper though is my only complaint.

After two years… it finally works!

From day 1, this new heater has been a thorn in my side. The first time I plugged it in two years ago, it errored and would not run. After a couple calls to the company and some disassembly, I discovered the wire to the fuel solenoid that attaches to the fitting on the burner head had been pinched and was shorted out. I fixed the wire and turned it back on… this time it just sat there and ran diesel fuel all over the floor out of the end of the heater. I could hear the sparker running, and I didn’t have a clue what would cause this, so I tore it apart again, removing the nozzle and making sure there were no fuel leaks. When I reassembled everything, the heater worked great for a couple of days… then I started having a hard time keeping the fuel adjusted for a clean burn. The thing would be humming along just fine, and all of a sudden it would start spitting fire out one side at the end of the burn chamber and stinking the place up. Then, when you’d shut it down, tons of black flakes of soot would fly out the end and make a mess. No adjustment of the fuel pump would fix this… and so this is how I struggled with this heater for the last two years - until today. Last night I turned the heater on - it had worked well the day before, but this time it ran fuel all over the floor then burst into flames with fire shooting out the end of thing about a foot. I had just about had it, and was ready to cut my losses, but figured there has to be a simple explanation for this… so I took it apart again. I was planning on purchasing a new nozzle tip per master’s instructions, but when I took the old one out, I realized that it was made of more than one piece. I discovered that the little brass mesh filter on the back of the tip would screw out, revealing the “guts” of the nozzle tip. Long story short, there is a jam nut inside the body of the tip that holds two critical pieces inside the tip tight together - a little ring with the tiny hole that fuel comes out and a tapered seat that has tiny channels in it that atomize the fuel. Long story short, this jam nut was loose and it was allowing fuel to bypass the little atomizer channels, thus dumping a stream of fuel into the burner tube instead of a cloud of fuel. I cleaned all the tiny little parts up with a scotch bright and brake cleaner, reassembled, and voila… this thing is running like a champ. I’m giving the heater 3 stars because I think master has some quality control issues, and their support is pretty lack luster. Once the heater is running correctly though, it’s great. Very quiet, burns really clean, and puts out a ton of heat. I bought this to replace an old 150k btu master heater that is probably 30 years old. I must say, the build quality on the old one is better - mostly with respect to the burn chamber construction. It’s a sign of the times I guess. Tractor Supply? Never had an issue with them. I didn’t use them for a return on this, but I’m sure they would have helped me out. I would only recommend this heater to a friend because I know how to fix them now. Cheers

Piece of junk.

After 25 hours machine starts giving me all kinds of headaches and codes. Checked everything and cleaned it out and stillCannot keep it running. And only gave it clean fresh filtered diesel. Going back to my old style 1 doesn't care what you put in it. It'll run.
