Great mower with an even greater cut.

Mower starts quick and runs well, I found only 2 bolts holding the seat to the frame. The lower does not cut evenly, the blades leave ridges. Yes they are sharp.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this mower in August of last year. Before the end of the season I had already gone through 2 solenoids. First cut of this year and it died 6 times. I’m cutting about 1 acre and it just turned 6 total hours today. What a waste of money. Evidently I got a lemon and I’d like to see what Toro can do to make this right.

I have owned this mower for exactly two years now. It has been through 3 cutting seasons. First day, hit a plum tree ever so slightly and the shield just broke off, which they have known about this problem for years by then, second season. Parking brake module went out. That was a cool extra 150, not to mention the 85 dollar shield then the choke cable just decided to come out, another 25 dollars and the 20 dollars for a new solenoid switch, that I had to replace along with a new 45 dollar front tire that would not hold air. Let us now talk about how I am 3 belts in already. The badboy, and just about any other zeroturn mower has gotten away from the small crappy belts, that zoro still puts on their deck. They are in no way a heavy belt for this size mower. Something they know already. That is another 60 dollars in belts in two years. Now for the crappy part of all on this mower. The belt guards. Yes, the belt guards are not screwed down. They are clip on guards. Anything from a small stick to wet grass hits it, it will knock them off, even from from grass buildup will cause them off, and guess what. You then start playing the guessing game, of how many times you see it laying in the grass before you run over them. I have now ran over two of them at 24 a piece. It was a close call between the badboy and this one. I choose this one, knowing it was not built as tough as the badboy, but I chose it only because of the my ride and the fact, that my wife likes cutting grassalso, and it would be a smoother ride for her, as we really didn't need nothing heavy duty as thebadboy. The quality of this zeroturn is trash compared to the badboy. When you pull the choke up,it pulls the whole cheap plastic part up, that holds the choke in, whereas the badboy is all metal. The only plus I can say about this mower, is the my ride and the motor has not failed me yet. If I could have a redo. It would be a badboy 100%. So, let us tally up my cost to own this mower is two years. 433 dollars That does not include the lights, nor the hour switch that I had to put in, or the regular maintenance, which will bring me over 500 dollars just to own this toro. Just a side note, also add another 85 dollars, as that is what the lawn shop charged me, to get my steering back adjusted right, so the mower would ride straight and even again. So, all in all. I'm just about 600 dollars extra in on this mower in just two years. All I can say, is I made a mistake with this mower. That is something I will not do again. Badboy, I Will have to catch you on the next go around.
