Great mower. Cuts very well. Maneuverability is excellent. Great upgrade on the Caster wheel suspension. Ride is very comfortable. Cub Cadet did an excellent job on this Ultima Z2 54P

The best mower I've ever had. I had a similar version from about 7 years ago and this one tops it by far. I can mow at almost full speed and it still cuts perfect. Turned my cutting time in half. Would definitely buy again!

Excellent (multi) residential mower + suggestions

Bought and received the mower about 2 weeks ago. I have cut twice with it and spread the summer fertilizer. I moved to the Z2 54P from a traditional yard tractor. I bought the Ultima based on my son-in-law having one for a few years and using his. I bought the 54P for the front caster shocks (a super plus!). So far so good. I'm very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this mower, and I highly recommend watching ALL the videos on CC and zero turn mowers you can if you are a convert like me.
A few things that could be better.
- If you have a 29 inch inseam, you will "just" be able to place your feet on the foot rest with the seat all the way forward. If you're shorter than that, get used to placing your feet on the lift-up floor. However in this condition the mower is almost at the adjustability limit of the lap bars (also pretty far forward, to be able to reverse).
- Getting the mower off the bottom pallet is a 2 person job, unless you have a hydraulic jack. Two spare 6 foot 1x8 will allow you to roll the mower off.
- I'm sure not particular to CC, but, if you bought from a box store, you may have to:
- adjust the tire pressure (mine was at least double at all 4 corners)
- level the deck (mine was pointing up almost an inch)
- add some oil (mine was at the add mark on the stick )do not screw the stick in when
checking))
- adjust the throttle cable (mine was running less than 3100 RPM)
- sharpen the blades (mine weren't in danger of cutting anything)
