Looks like a lot of reviewers didn't buy the right thing. This is not for adapting a 2 1/2" hitch. There are other products for that. The intended use is mount it on a plate or cut a hole in a tube to build a hitch.

Does not work with 2017 Chevy HD tow package

The location of the keeper pin hole does not line up with the hole on my 2017 3/4 ton HD Silverado hitch, therefore it would not work for me. I gave it three stars due to the fact I think it is a great product, but does not fit certain hitches.

Welds prevent hitch pin holes from aligning

Tried two different receivers...Neither one fit my hitch...welds on the collar were to big, resulting in offset holes for hitch pin. Make sure you check this part fits and holes align before paying for it
