Nice little trailer but expensive. I used to have the 5 x 10 but this time I bought the 5 x 8 which is okay. I prefer the Karavan trailers than any others, they are more quality. But the price went high in a short period of time. I paid $799 for the 5 x 10 like 8 years ago and now I just paid $899 for the 5 x 8. The 5 x 10 went from $799 to $1999 in 8 years....... I cannot keep up with the cost of everything.

This trailer is the best bang for your buck on the market. The only thing you may need to add is a trailer jack, but that's personal preference. Tows like a dream, with no rattle noise from the ramp. Collapsible side rails real come in handy when loading from the side. Super well built, from welds to paint. For your average homeowner just hauling a riding lawn mower, going to the dump, or picking up appliances, the 1,500lb capacity is plenty, and the price point is spectacular. By far the best built trailer in the $1,000 class.

Trailer seemed nice. I special ordered this since my local TS store and none in my area had it in stock. Took about 6 weeks for it to get delivered to the store. Once I picked it up I was disappointed to see the tail gate had scrapes and scratches on the bottom part so the powder coating was missing and bare metal was showing in many places. In fact rust was already forming. I contacted Karavan, sent photos and filed a warranty claim and they were good about taking care of the problem and sending me a new replacement tailgate. They think the employees at the store may have damaged it because it sounds like when it is shipped the tailgate is separate and needs to be put on by the employees. Another problem is after rain, I get rust stains leaking out from the bottom of the tubes on the tailgate when it is closed. Apparently the square steel tubes used on the tail gate are not fully sealed where they are welded, water gets in when it rains, and the uncoated inside of the steel tubes on the tailgate rusts and the rusty water drains out of the bottom, leaving rust stains there. So the tailgate design or welding could use improvements, but the rest of the trailer seems nice. Although I haven't used the trailer to haul anything yet, it towed nicely when I took it home from the store.

Only thing that I would change is these trailers being readily available. None of those stores stock this Karavan. That said, it was worth waiting for. I'd get a Katavan over the Carry-on any day
