Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Trailer I purchased this a month ago, modified the rear gate hinges so it could be removed, and put back on for use. Other than than, I just towed it down the East Coast and back with furniture to move my son into an apartment and it worked great. i could not be more pleased with this trailer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very flimsy When you stand and look at this trailer, it seems to be a good deal. It wasnt until after I bought it and took it home did I notice what I really paid for. I planned to use the trailer to transport two of my dirtbikes. Both Yamahas and each one weighs about 250 lbs. Rolling the bikes up on the deck and you feel like you are going to fall through the expanded metal. In fact a few of the welds holding the metal on popped and I had to re-weld it back on. So after I tie both bikes down I notice the entire trailer is twisting as I move on it. I hop down and go to the front right corner of the trailer and push down. The whole thing twists! In fact, I can push on it with my finger to get it to rock and twist! Now I really look at this thing and notice the angle iron to build the frame looks as heavy duty as bed frame. You know, the gauge of angle iron used to hold up your bed in your house. The frame is welded by what looks like a couple of birds who laid their droppings everywhere. The booger welds on this thing are awesome! Then comes the paint. I found out they do not spray these trailers, they dip them! You can scratch the paint right off too! big runs everywhere! My bad for not really looking at the thing before I bought it. I would have paid more for a better one. But now this is mine and I will have to fix it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5x8 review Really quite happy with the trailer. I had been waiting for the price to go down and once it did I jumped on it. I think it is pretty well constructed, but it had been sitting out in the sun for months so a ton of trash was adhered to the underneath, backs and sides, inside. Took awhile to clean it up but hey, its a trailer. The Tractor Supply employees were just superb, very, very helpful, friendly and courteous. Can't thank them enough. I look forward to using this little 5x8 trailer for many years. Thank you for the excellent price.

Is there a recommended method for building and installing walls/side panels? I notice some brackets that hint at removable panels, or something, but I wanted to make sure before I designed so.ething myself.

Asked by: Jered mckenna
We do not recommend modifying the trailer as that will void your warranty.

The payload for this product is 1600 Ibs. Can I transport a 1000# sidexside on this trailer.

Asked by: M Dense
5X8SP model: The max. payload Capacity: 1,600lbs. If the cargo that is being hauled has wheels that do not line up with the support cross members we do recommend using runners or a sheet of plywood to help evenly distribute the weight on the wheels.
