The Reese Towpower Hitch Adapter for 2 to 1-1/4 in. Hitch Box Opening enables a 2 in. receiver opening to be reduced to a 1-1/4 in. receiver opening. This adapter is designed to allow for accessories such as bike carriers, or cargo carriers that fit a 1-1/4 in. receiver opening. The hitch adapter weight rating is 3,500 lb. and should not be exceeded.1 year limited warranty

Not good with bike racks.

It is completely unsuitable for a bike rack because the outer dimension of the part that fits in the 2” hitch is too small and allows for excessive bike rack rocking. This may not be a problem if used to tow a trailer.
