What kind of snow load will this hold? What is the total weight of the greenhouse, and what kind of wind gust will it stand up to. We live where we get wind up to 70 mph in storms often. Can it be anchored.

Asked by: susan 77
The Palram Snap and Grow Greenhouse has a snow load of 15.4 lbs s/f and a wind resistance of 47 mile/hour. You can anchor this greenhouse by purchasing the Palram Snap & Grow Anchor Kit. For the 8' x 16' you would need two anchor kits. This greenhouse weights 246 pounds. Thank you.

How would the heat be controlled in the greenhouse during the summer I am in New Orleans and I know opening the door or top hatch helps but does that mean I need to do that everyday. The clear plastic just seems very hot for Louisiana summers. Thank you

Asked by: secureman40
Hobby greenhouses can get very hot during the day. I have experience that the inside temperature can be 20 to 40 degrees warmer than the outside temperature during the day when the sun is shining. It would be best to keep your door and roof vent open in order to keep your plants from getting too hot. Some plants can withstand the heat better than others. The 8' wide Snap & Grow Greenhouse has a bungee that can be used to keep one of the two doors open. Thank you.
