Purchased TS248XD

Recent purchase to replace Husqvarna 46in mower that I had for 20 years. Reviewed / considered numerous other brands, and decided to stay with Husqvarna brand due to quality / life of the older mower.

Shoddy welding and non-existent warranty support

Don't expect the mowing deck to last long. The weld points are shoddy and will fail, and Husqvarna makes a point of not standing by their warranty. They are aggressive in turning down warranty claims; they wouldn't even acknowledge my claim despite photos, multiple complaints from other people with teh same issue, and even the service company stating it was an obvious weld failure. No response to BBB; check out their BBB review to see how much their warranties hold up. Find a better company with better support for your mowing needs.

Deck belt issues

Now on my third year with this mower. I have changed the deck belt 5 times, (2 OEM and 3 aftermarket). First two times I adjusted belt tension per operator's manual. The aftermarket belts were a bit longer and seem to last longer but failed just the same. Due to the longer belts, I had to adjust tension on the belt to compensate. The last belt I replaced, I lowered the tension, and the belt lasted the longest amount of time. I also noticed the eye bolt used to adjust the tension is 3.5 inches according to the parts manual. My bolt was 4 inches. I will try a longer eye bolt and reduce the tension on the belt to see if this cures the issue. I have never had the belt come off on its own due to low tension.
The mower runs great, just needs air filter cleaning every 20 hours.
