The Hoover's Hatchery Partridge Chanteclers are a cold-hardy, dual purpose bird originally developed in Canada in the early 1900s. Able to withstand the harsh Canadian winters, these chickens features a docile and gentile temperament and produces a good carcass for the table. With small cushion combs, small, practically non-existent wattles, and dense feathering, the Chantecler chicken is well suited for colder northern climates.
