Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy and happy Picked up my chicks from the post office a week ago, dipped their beaks into the water, scattered some food on the bottom of the brooder, and they were off and running. Walked like drunken sailors that first day, until they got their energy back, but today they're growing like crazy, and cute as anything. Not my first time raising chicks, but it still amazes me that day old chicks can spend 48 hours traveling, and be good as new, after just a few hours in their new home. Would definitely recommend TSC and Hoover Hatchery, to anyone looking to buy chicks. Picture was taken right after placing them into the brooder.

Are they vaccinated?

Asked by: DThom
Chicks shipped are not vaccinated. There is a possibility in the future to allow this online

Do the hens go broody?

Asked by: east272
Buff Orpingtons do have the reputation as being good setters. Most are not broody but because of the nature of this trait from time to time do show signs of it
