Risky shipping

have purchased chicks directly from Tractor Supply before which have all done very well. We had wanted the Brahma breed which is why we ordered to have them delivered. The mix of colors was nice with half being buff and half being yellow, however, four of the yellow ones were undersized and end up not growing or thriving and passing away within a day of each other after the first 48 hours. I am hoping that we are in the clear for the ones that are remaining.

If you have any problems with shipping, you can contact Tractor Supply customer service at (877) 718-6750 or the hatchery at (641) 323-6100. We offer a 48 hour guarantee for all our shipped birds. Given they receive the proper care upon delivery we cover any losses up to 2 days after delivery. We can offer a refund or reshipment depending on the number of losses.

Chicks in the mail

All ten baby chicks arrived via US postal service on time and appeared healthy. The first week 2 chicks came to appear weak and unable to walk. I’m in week 4 and the remaining 8 chicks are still healthy. I think we’re going to have a happy flock of girls in the hen house.
