The Hoover's Hatchery Live Cream Legbar Baby Chicks are auto-sexing, egg-laying chickens. Auto-sexing means that generation after generation, the chicks can be sexed at one day of age by the color of their down. Your purchase includes 10 baby chicks ready for you to raise. The chickens produce blue, medium-sized eggs at a rate of about 280 eggs per year. Q: What (if any) vaccines are administered?

- A: We do not vaccinate our birds unless they are requested by the customer. If you would like vaccinations please contact the hatchery after your order has been placed with TSC and we can assist with adding vaccines. 641-323-6100. We offer both Marek's and Coccidiosis vaccines. Marek’s vaccination is typically given when customers have had personally, or the area they live in has had an issue with the disease. It is a neurological virus that ultimately ends in the death of the bird if infected. Coccidiosis is an intestinal bacteria that causes problems, but is treatable with Corrid added to the water for the flock. If chicks are vaccinated for Coccidiosis, they should not be fed medicated feed because the two forms of vaccination actually cancel each other out and you are left without any coverage for Cocci.8 months agoHelpful?
