In order to expedite live shipments USPS does not scan every box at each distribution center, so tracking is not the most accurate. Shipping normally takes 1-2 days to reach their new homes. The estimated arrival is just a projection and is typically not accurate, but does update one the box is scanned at the last destination, your local post office. We do offer a 48 hour guarantee for our chicks to cover any unfavorable shipping conditions that may occur so please be sure to let us know if anything happens during delivery and we will take care of you. - A: Hi javaguy59, Most any order takes 24-48 hours to reach their new zip codes. Tracking, while nice to have, is not always accurate as it does not update from location to location unless each box has the barcoded scanned at each stop. This is not common practice for live orders in the desire to move them as quickly as possible to their final destination. Because of this, the tracking may not be accurate until the box is scanned at the final destination.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: I thought I saw approximate age of 6 weeks but then saw 8-12 hours. That may have been time off when they are shipped though. Just need the info because I don’t know if I need to have heat lamps until weather is more consistent.

Q: What would I do if all of my chickens died with in 24 hrs of picking up? Moved them to a new bid, had a waterer and feeder ready, yet all of the wyandottes were dead within 1 day... 3 were dead on arrival at the post office.

Sliver laced Wyandottes

I ordered a set and unfortunately I just dont think they have good genetics. A lot of mine randomly passed as they hit the adult stage. And had 5 get there legs injured and eventually passed. I have lots of chicken breads. These are the ONLY ones that had legs injured. It broke my heart because a lot of them are beautiful but unfortunately not genetically strong.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Unfortunately, less than 28 hours after receiving our chicks from the post office, ever single one of them passed away. I expected one or two, but all 10? It's not the first time, but it will be the last time I get chicks from tractor supply.
