How old are the chicks by the time they would make it to your home? 1 day? 4 day roughly?

Asked by: Hawkwarn
Per Hoover's: Chicks are shipped the day they are hatched and sent US Priority mail. No matter where chicks are shipped in the United States it will never take more than 48 hours to arrive. Most arrive no more than between 24-36 hours based on region.

I bought 10 "female" chicks. 8 survived, of those 8, four of them appear to be male. How do I solve this?

Asked by: TLCamp
Please call 641-323-6100 and we can help with this. We generally ship 12 chicks. It is extremely rare when ordering females to receive any males let alone half. Our sexing ration is consistently above 95% over a history of 75 years

Does this breed cohabitate with silkies very well? I was told hens do best in pairs, especially if their social breeds and was thinking about getting one of each to start. Would it work out?

Asked by: Kimmiekat
Standard breeds will cohabitate with silkies and bantams well when they are juveniles and adults. As babies, you would just want to monitor to ensure the larger standard breeds are not pushing the silkies away from feed or otherwise intruding space. You would be fine to get one each although would need to do so in store for shipping purposes. These orders come in quantities of ten each

Asked by: jbowman957
In order to receive all roosters you may choose the males drop down and you will be shipped all males. Unsexed would be luck of the draw
