Of our 8 hens, our Calico Princess named Honey is the sweetest! She loves attention and interacting with our family. She follows the kids around and let’s them hold her. She is somewhere in the middle of the pecking order because of her size, but she is quiet and so sweet.

I don’t know if it’s the breed or shipping, but they are dropping like flies. They will be running around happy and then boom, dead. Lost 4 within the first week. Too expensive to lose that many.

Great chicks

Got 11 instead of 10. One was sick, the rest arrived in good health conditions and grew fabulous in one month. Unfortunately I could not pick females only because the choice was not available, but I believe I might have 2 females. The rest are roosters.

Unfortunately, all chicks were DOA. Accidents happen, however these chicks were shipped with the bare minimum insulation in a overly ventilated box for the weather conditions. Hoover's cannot control USPS distribution center delay's, but they certainly could have taken more care in the packaging of the chicks and the decision to ship in sub-par weather conditions. The reason for the 1-star review is due to a refund not being issued well over 10 business days after calling TSC. Per TSC, they are restricted from issuing refunds from orders placed to Hoover's Hatchery - refunds can only be issued by Hoover's. This is bad policy. If TSC lists an item/live poultry for sale on their website, accepts payment on behalf of the third-party seller, communicates to the buyer the order details, then TSC should make it right and issue refunds to the customer. TSC should be the one's to make it right, and then work directly with their supplier (Hoover's) to return monies owed.
