Heats the main area of the house but the good ends there. I swear this brand must be owned by tractor supply because the waste of pellets that this stove produces is absolutely insane. Yes the error codes occur frequently and you have to trick the stove by filling the pot manually and having the top lid open in order for it to starts. But my biggest issue is the waste of pellets. They continue to spill out and over the pot and fill up the size. The stove doesn’t give itself time For the pellets in the pot to actually burn down to ash. Unfortunately after two years of use we’ll be spending quite a bit more money on a good quality pellet stove that will not waste so many pellets as well as not having to be cleaned several times a day.

I bought this pellet stove about 4 years ago. I had never owned a pellet stove before (only wood burning stove) so I had to learn how to operate it. I read the manual several times, read reviews online about it and watched videos on how to clean it properly, not only from the manufacturer but also from people who own one. One thing that I did figure out, is that you have to clean it very often. You also have to take the exhaust fan off, clean the fan itself, and vacuum inside the area where you take off the fan. If you use it every day for the most part of the day, then you need to clean this fan about every 6 weeks while you're using it. You also need to make sure that you clean out the ash collection areas (heat exchanger) on both the right side and the left side of the unit. When these are cleaned out, you will notice that the heat is blown out with the fan much better! You also need to take off the convection (room circulating) fan at least 1x each season before use; this fan collects a lot of dust, just like a ceiling fan will. I have a ceiling fan in my living room, so when I look up at it and the blades are covered with dust, you have to stop to ask yourself what your convection fan might look like? I was amazed when my son removed it after using it for 3 years straight....explained why the hot air wasn't blowing out too well it was gross looking!!! Every once in a while I get an E4, so I have to clean the soot off of the limit switch with is connected to the exhaust fan. This is the switch that tells you when the temperature of the heat exiting is very high. All in all, I myself am much better off with walking over to the wall and turning on the oil burner. This to me is OK for using during the day a few days (when it's really cold, it does help A LOT with cutting down on oil use) but it is not an every day, all day thing unless you want to do your constant due diligence with the cleaning. I've replaced the limit switch 1X and we just replaced the exhaust fan 1X. I do believe that we will need a new convection fan, as I can hear that the bearings are dry when it runs.

This is a bad pellet stove. This is only the second season it's been used and it's gotten worse. Since day one of using it it's had nothing but problems. Whether it's cleaned every day or every other when you go to start it, it will come back with an error but there isn't anything wrong with it. You have to quickly shut it off then back on and it lights up just fine. Sometimes when you go to start it it won't start and all this smoke will build up inside and then fill the house with smoke. Not sure why it does this. During the first season we had to replace parts as it wouldn't turn on at all. You can't fill it with a lot of pellets because it will get jammed up in there. It doesn't heat as much of my small house like it says it will. We are already looking for a new one. Won't be buying this brand again.
