Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really works better than a wood stove I bought mine a couple weeks ago and I’m glad I did

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleased with our purchase! We bought this pellet stove recently to replace using our woodstove which just wasn't cutting it for our heating needs. We installed this stove in our basement, it was an easy installation and it looks great! We have had it running for a little over 24 hours on the lowest setting, and it has kept our basement around 70 degrees and 2,300 square foot home a very comfortable temperature around 68 degrees for the cool fall weather we are having (it dropped to around 35 degrees outside last night) - I am so looking forward to seeing how well it does through the cold Western Massachusetts winters (and no more loading the woodstove every 3-4 hours!!) Very, VERY pleased with our experience purchasing this stove, and the way it has instantly exceeded our expectations already - let's hope it continues to!

Will the stove safely run on a 3500 watt UL approved,110 V gas generator with a built in surge protector, in case of power outage? Are line conditioners required?

Asked by: Doc P
The generator must be 1,000 Watt rated, deep cycle marine battery with a pure sine wave inverter.

I see you said if using a masonary chimney you will need a pellet vent pipe. Is that if it is over 15ft or is that no matter how tall the chimney. I will be running the pipe through my wall into the chimney

Asked by: Hunter0721
If you plan to run your pellet pipe into an existing chimney, you will need to run the pellet pipe all the way to the top of the chimney for proper operation. The reason you need to do this is because your pellet stove is designed and programmed for pellet pipe which is 3" or 4" in diameter. most masonry chimneys are 6" or greater. This will put additional back pressure on the exhaust blower decreasing the amount of air it will move. This reduced air will cause errors in the stove vacuum switches and it will burn poorly. If over 15 feet, please use 4" pipe to reduce air restrictions.

If your home is a manufactured home or very air tight then yes you do. The crawl space must be a ventilated crawl space.

I have a old coal that I want to replace with this pellet stove, can I use the existingjf chimney

Asked by: Mjlf
You must use 3 to 4 inch pellet pipe. You cannot use just the chimney for the exhaust.

If a person wanted the vent this pellet stove in a masonry chimney would you have to install another pipe inside the chimney?

Asked by: raptor53
Yes. you will need to install a Pellet vent liner inside the chimney. If beyond 15 feet, it will need to be 4" diameter and run the entire length of the chimney. Venting this directly into the chimney will cause excess back pressure on the blower systems and will significantly impact performance.
