Q: Does the air intake need to be piped outdoors?

- A: This unit is made to be a free standing unit as you must have room to access to fill the hopper and within an enclosed area you woiuld not be able to clean the unit without pulling it out of the closure, we do make an insert model HP22 Insert for your application.a year agoHelpful?

So far it has been performing excellently... We have not been able to give it the acid test as the weather has not turned real cold yet... I/we do love the fact that we no longer have to buy and split wood for our winter supply.. It is a lot easier to bring in a 40lb. bag of pellets and feed the stove... The additional hopper was definitely a nice addition, also..
