Q: Can the HP61 stove work efficiently at 10000 in elevation? Are there any special provisions needed for operating at this altitude?
4 years ago- A: great question. The 61 will work at that altitude but you must use 4 inch exhaust piping keeping it under 12feet in length. Best is straight through the wall.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Does this stove cycle on and off with temperature control?
4 years ago- A: Yes, in the ECO mode it will cycle on and off when temp is reached.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this be run manually if thermostat quits?

Q: Can this be inserted into an exit fireplace?
5 years ago- A: Yes, if the dimensions will allow it to fit then you can install the pellet stove in an existing fireplace. I wouldn’t recommend it because you have to be able to fill the stove with pellets and it is done from the top. Also, the digital control is top mounted and the stop switch is on the back of the unit. There are other units that are designed for fireplace installation that would be much better.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: does this model have a removable ash pan if not how do you clean it never owned a pellet stove
5 years ago- A: There is an ash drawer that the manufacturer recommends you clean every two weeks.5 years agoHelpful?
