The natural gravity-feed system of the Wiseway Gravity-Fed Pellet Stove from US Stove eliminates all mechanical parts, meaning less maintenance and no required electricity. This patented revolutionary design is the only EPA-certified and UL-Listed non-electric pellet stove on the market today. The Wiseway is simple to start and operate. Simply heat the burn chamber and flue with a propane torch and start the pellet flow. This stove uses a natural draft that will take over and ramp the stove up to temperature. Adjustments are easy: simply open and close the fresh air intakes on the front of the stove. The window allows you to see the flame traveling up the body of the stove. Since it uses no electricity, heat is radiated off the 3-1/2 in. tubing and the steel baffles on the back. Best of all, this stove offers extremely small clearances on the rear and sides, making it easy to install. Since it does not use any electricity, this stove is the perfect source of heat for areas that are prone to blackouts or off-the-grid installations. It is designed to silently heat up to 2,000 sq. ft.

Gravity feed pellet stoveDoing a little research and seeing good reviews at that time which have since gone downhill I bought 2 of these for 2 different buildings thinking wow I can have heat even if the electric is out. Well it was a good thought but that’s about it!!! You can not just lite this pellet stove go to work and think it will still be going when you get home because it will be out!!! We installed correctly and talked several times to technical support at US stove who basically admitted all the negatives we found!! My friend made all kinds of utensils that were adapted to poke through the metal tubes because the ash builds up !!! You have to mess with this stove way to much to keep it going nicely !! Since I had only installed one and not the other and seeing how needy the stove was I returned the second one!!

Reading the ReviewsI haven't bought one of these units yet, but, how about being more specific on what product of pellets actually works best. Not what is the best interest in profit for any company. Customers are first and need to be shown what works best in their interest. The same with anything else that might be a hinder. This would be a win win situation for all.Plus, reading about someone having to grind metal to make something slide in or close is ridiculous. There is a such thing as quality control. Which interprets to a good product. Please do this and the product will earn.

Very HappyI've had over 2 months. We are experienced pellet & wood stove users, this is by far our FAVORITE!. You have to learn how to tweek it (like a woodstove). Work with it, you'll get it.
We use soft wood pellets. They burn hotter and seem to just do better. Difficulty burning crushed/excessively dusty pellets.
It has burnt out a few times (in the night) because the pellets didn't fall. We do "tap" it occasionally. We are considering a heat powered fan to not only disperse heat but maybe it will provide a slight vibration to keep pellets moving.
Overall, we are so pleased. No control panel to fail. No combustion flywheel to burst apart. No part/service searching.

Great idea, but poor performanceI'm confident you do not want this stove. Gravity feed sounds good, but it often jams and goes out. Also, the claim this will heat a 2000 sq. ft. space may be true if it's only 40 degrees outside.
What is the max height my Chimney can be? I have a 35 foot chimmney, many pellet stoves won't allow me to use a vent that tall.
Asked by: shockwaveudk
We do not recommend going above 20ft. vertical piping due to the inability of draft in higher chimneys.

how is the pellet flow regulated and is it prone to jam up or quit feeding pellets to the burn chamber
Asked by: Jim Goodall
There is a slid adjustment to allow different amounts of pellets to drop. Being that this is completely gravity fed we have not heard any complaints about this jamming up.

Is this a wiseway built pellet stove, and if it is does it have removal wheels wiseway shows on it's web site? Thanks
Asked by: Dave1952
Yes, the Wiseway is a pellet stove but drafts like a wood stove would. For installation requirements and guidelines, please see our owner's manual. At this moment, there are not removable wheels for this unit.

The picture shows the stove pipe going up and then making a turn through the wall... is there a minimum distance it needs to go up before it can turn to go out the wall?
Asked by: Lynnyhaha
Even though it shows it using elbows we HIGHLY recommend using only vertical piping as elbows restrict draft.

Does this stove need to be vented?
Asked by: Doitjk
Yes. this stove needs a vertical chimney for it to be able to draft and operate properly.
