Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little Cultivator!! I just love this little worker!! I can get around between my plants where the rototiller can't go. And it doesn't kill me to use it!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from did the job Bought this to turn over soil in my raised beds. It did the job, it did jump around a little and required my husband had to hold on the lower cross bar for better control. Its very light and dug in ad did exactly what we needed. We have small rocks mixed in we live in " RockNsaw" and had to stop and pull the blades off to remove the rocks that jammed between the blades, but that can happen with any of these. It was also a little harder to restart than I expected with a brand new machine, but it did restart every time. Over all a good little machine for use on already established garden beds. I don't think I would try it on virgin ground.

Will this cultivator work on hard, compact clay?

Asked by: Zachstant77
This unit is designed to turnover dirt that has already been tilled or mix in fertilized etc. into an already tilled garden. You could use it to break up some already soft soil but I would not recommend trying to break up any hard ground with this. Thanks for the question.

Will this tiller handle roots as large as my index finger and smaller ones too?

Asked by: Bryan7171
Hello Bryan7171. This cultivator's application is for cultivating sod and light to medium soil. It should not be used for roots. Thank you for your question.
