large capacityThis waterer holds a lot of fluid and I like how it doesn't allow the birds to perch on it. The only downfall is that even with the stopper on the cover, it leaks when you set it down. I suggest you get everything situated/cleaned up and put in place before you fill it

The best waterer to dateI purchased at the end of chick days in store. This is not normally an item they stock, but I wish they would. I was amazed at how easy it is to fill, carry and clean. The cap on the container allows you to carry the container full without spilling. It also prevents the mold and dirty water from getting in. The ring allows for easy clean up. I have tried lots of waterers and this is my favorite.

Lid to container contact leakFound the leak problem with this product. The lip to the container where the cap screws on molded uneven and does not seal to the cap. On a hot day it when both plastics are pliable it does not leak all out when sitting on the base, filled in the morning it leaks all the water out in minutes. The fix - sand the lip level with a sanding block and the cap has a groove that accepts the lip so I installed an O-ring (lip is 2 1/4") stretched a 2" ring into it. Works great now. Manufacturer should not be cheap and put an o-ring on it.

Careful with this one in the heatSeveral times I have put the full top on the base and it appears to be properly seated. It starts filling the tray below slow glug, glug, glug and I walk away. It just all drains out within about 3 minutes. On inspection it seems properly seated and is on level ground. Refill and try again, no problem, four or five times later, same problem. Not sure what the problem is but on one of my 110F days it could be disastrous if I didn't check back on it. Until I figure it out, my trust level is low. Other than that it is easy to carry and easy to remove debris with the built in strainer.
