The Poultry Pro Waterer instantly turns most 5 gallon buckets into a high-capacity poultry waterer. Simply fill your bucket with water and snap on our revolutionary waterer base, then turn it over! Can be used as a stand-alone gravity waterer, or with a garden hose attached to use the revolutionary hands-free filling capabilities. Easy to carry and transport using the bucket's built in handle. *Hands-free filling when active hose is attached. Bucket not included. To ensure your waterer operates properly (when using with garden hose), the included tubing and gasket must be installed, and highest water pressure available must be used. When filling, water may overflow the trough; this is by design and meant to clean the trough.

Q: Is the bucket included?

A: The bucket is not included. We would love too, but the shipping is typically 10x the cost of a standard bucket alone. =D

Q: Would this be good for ducks or is it too shallow

  • Riverbend Farm Team
A: It is particularly good for ducks. Not only can they drink no problem, but you can use a timer to constantly refresh their, often dirty, water (as the Poultry Pro Waterer cleans the trough while filling). =D

Q: When i installed a standard float valve through the bucket, the water just poured out constantly. Is it possible to use an automatic valve to fill wothout overflowing? Im not a plumber :-/ lol

A: You would have to send me more details. I suspect it is possible, but something is certainly off. If it is overflowing, somehow you are losing pressure/vacuum. Please email or call us anytime.

Q: Does this work for ducks?

  • A: This should also work for ducks, though a waterer specified for ducks might be more effective.

Q: Water tray is always dirty and thr standing water attracts mosquitoes. Top of bucket also catchrs standing water. Are we supposed to leave water on constantly?

  • Riverbend Farm Team
A: Hey Henny, Any trough waterer will have standing water - but the chickens usually make it undesirable for insects, plus they'd eat them! And unfortunately these are not "automatic", but rather "hands-free".

Q: I don’t want to leave a review with where we are at with this. I desperately want to like it as an automatic waterer but it never stops overflowing. Do we need to purchase y’all’s bucket? Is there anything we can do so that it is a true automatic waterer?

A: This is not an automatic waterer, but a "hands-free filling" waterer. Sorry if that was not clear.

This is awesome and simple to use

I am seeing that people think it is an AUTO waterer and it is NOT. This is a Self FILLING waterer, meaning you can leave it hooked to the hose and in the  Ready position at all times , simply turn on the hose u til it runs over(that means the bucket is full)  Then turn the hose OFF. you cannot leave the hose on lol. It is just as easy to fill the bucket and then tip it over  But I like the feature. This thing is awesome and I am so glad to finally replace the silly cups and nipples.

Don't waste your money

I've never hated a bucket so much in my life. The top cut outs don't match the handle, there's pressure on the plastic top from the metal handle. The tube inside doesn't stay put. When I flip the bucket over i can hear it not in it's place. Fix it. When I refill the bucket it's never been wherebit should be. When the bucket is full, It's not only heavy, but its totally lopsided waiting for it to break the top. If the bucket is not 100% level the water leaks out the sides. With my old bucket system I'd fill the clean and fill the bucket 1 a week. I have to clean and fill this one everyday. It was a good idea not quite executed. Photo shows my chickens mad because I clean and filled it yesterday and now it's dirty and empty.

Great design, could be more durable.

I have two of these and they were great while they lasted. After about two years of constant use they have both cracked. The design is genius and I’m about to buy two more because I haven’t found anything as practical and easy to use to water my mixed flock.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Best Customer Service

I had issues with my original waterer cracking and they replaced it no questions asked. I love this product because you can get into the waterer to clean it and with most other waterers you cant and you get a bunch of algae buildup but not these. I have already changed out all of the waterers I have with Riverbends! THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Yes, I recommend this product.
