The jug is constructed from high-density polyethylene that is semi-opaque so you can see the water level inside the poultry drinker. Q: What are the directions to fill the waterer with the extra cap. I filled mine with the cap on and then took the cap off and water wouldn’t stop flowing out all over the floor. I had to put the cap back on. Did I do something wrong?

These work great. Just dont open the top with out putting the cap back on the outspout. Lol. Yes i forgot and it was 1/2 full. I love the fact it has the topside knob that u put the outspout cap on whwn not using. I lose alot and happy to say i have not lost the cap due to that top side knob. My girls love it. I have two, one for the young hens and one for my other run i have for the older girls.
