Cheap cost and cheap parts.

You really do get what you pay for. I bought it to put in an outdoor shop and it was cheap compared to others. The blower and motherboard went out in two months. Customer service sent me parts which I had to install myself. I worry that I will have issues after the warranty expires.

First of all mechanically the stove is fantastic, no problems. Heats up well, fan/blower works well, cools off perfectly. It heats up our 600sq ft family room/kitchen area very well. The PROBLEM is in its electronics/programing/display! My husband is a service tech and works on machinery so he was able to spot the issue right away. First of all the ECHO1 & ECHO2 settings are “not user friendly”. When set to a certain temp the stove won’t kick back on until till dips down to 10 degrees below that temperature again. Yay, for efficiency and ECHO. You’ll need to wait all night until the stove turns on again!
So you will have to reprogram the settings and change the interval of how the stove turns on after reaching temp. This is code 36. Yep, code 36. My husband figured that out after a few hours of searching on the internet.
So anyway, if you are tech savvy and you want to stay warm than “yes” this is the stove for you. Otherwise beware of ALL the tax credit ECHO save the planet stoves. The programing on them has gotten really “interesting”. GO WITH THE MANUAL CONTROLS.
Installation: it wasn’t complicated. My husband did a direct vent straight out 24” outside the house then went up about 36”. We placed it on some fire bricks.
