Bought on advise of friend. Told her problems I had and she was very surprised. Suggested I return. And I am returning. Not a user friendly appliance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cuisinart® Alfrescamore Outdoor Gas Pizza Oven actually does a great job at cooking pizza. The pizza stone cooks a nice crisp crust. Though it will probably take me a few tries to figure the nuances of the oven, after using it for the first time I am really happy with the product. We even made a cauliflower crust pizza that came out to my delight. The stone is a little small, you basically have to make one personal pizza at a time. I wouldn’t use for a big pizza party, LOL. It was easy to assemble and the instructions were easy to understand. I was lucky to already have an adapter hose to connect to a 20 lb. propane tank. I think the adapter hose is a required accessory.

My pizza came out perfect we made a total of 3 small pizzas and they were all perfect! This pizza oven is definitely a must, especially if you camp, doesn’t take up too much space it’s the right size. A great way to make pizzas for a family night, my little gamily all made pizzas! Would recommend to anyone that loves pizzas way better the buying take out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pizza oven has been so much fun to use. It comes with a 13 inch pizza stone, 12 inch peel, and wood chip cup. It also comes with a metal match holder that is attached to the side of the oven. In case you are unfamiliar with it, it can be used to manually light the oven if the igniter is not working. My oven arrived with the match holder inserted inside, so be sure to remove it before starting the oven. The instructions for assembly were easy to follow. This oven is ready to use with 1 lb propane bottles, which is convenient for casual home use. So far I have used this oven on warm days and it took about 15 minutes to preheat to around 500-600 degrees. The oven is suitable for 12 inch pizzas. The peel is the same size, so it is useful to gauge the size of your dough. Once your pizza dough is shaped, sprinkle a light layer of corn meal on the peel, and then transfer the dough on top. You then add your toppings. The corn meal will help slide the dough into the oven. Once the pizza peel is about a quarter of the way into the oven, begin using a firm shuffling motion to slide the pizza off. It took me approximately 10 minutes to cook a pizza at 500 degrees and I rotated it around the 5 minute mark. Rotating it allows the pizza to cook more evenly, otherwise it may burn in the back. It is helpful to have some metal tongs or spatula on hand to make the pizza easier to handle. Even though the oven could reach 600 degrees, cooking at 500 allowed me to work more slowly. It still resulted in a crispy crust each time. One 1lb propane bottle was enough for me to preheat the oven and make three pizzas at a leisurely pace. Once you are done cooking, let the oven cool completely before cleaning. If any crumbs fall to the bottom of the oven, you can easily remove the grate and flame cover to clean it out. Overall, I have really enjoyed using this oven. I love that it produced crispy pizzas every time despite me not using it at its highest temperature setting. It is also easy to use and makes for a great family activity.
