Got tired of the girls kicking bedding in the trough on the drinker so I tried these on a cheap 5 gallon bucket. I just drilled some 11/32" holes and some vent holes near the top of the bucket and screwed the nipples in. Didn't have to use the wing nuts or seals. They were on the nipples as soon as I set it down. (Tip from a newbie: Put something on top of the bucket because the girls love to perch there and do what chickens do. (Photo taken before I got that lesson.)
