These are perfect! They have feet that fold down to minimize the stuff getting in that thr chickens kick around. And i love that it has a lid!

Okay for Hanging

Okay for chicks up to 2 months. But once they get to stage 2, it becomes a roost. The chickens knock it over if you use the extendable legs. They sit on top of it and push it over as they get off of it. If you have it sitting on the ground, the chickens bump it around and when the feed gets low, it comes apart exposing all the feed. It may be okay if it's hanging, but I do not recommend it for sitting on the ground

We purchased the feeder to replace our last one that was sun bleached and the white plastic was breaking off. So far this feeder seems to be a little higher quality so hopefully it lasts longer.

The farm tuff 8 lb feeders are easy to fill and clean, durable and have fold out legs to raise the feeder off of the ground. They are great for small flocks and stand up to the elements.
